So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that we don’t do the Easter bunny. We do an egg hunt – at my mother in law’s this year, but will do it at our home any time we’re not at MIL’s. This year, as every year, Wally’s birthday is near Easter. It’s the 15th. We were getting a lot of pressure from DH’s family to do his birthday on Easter, because their schedule is such that it makes getting together any other time difficult. (Their kids are enrolled in entirely too many activities.)
I can’t even begin to note how inappropriate I think that is. Um, Easter is NOT about my kid.
