The World Sure Looks Easy to Figure Out When You Remove the Gray
I am getting kind of tired of this argument, which seems like the lazy man’s way out of an argument he knows he cannot win with facts. “Well, I see the world with lots of grays, unlike you, who are so petty and small minded that you only see black and white.” Oh, ok.
The fact is that some things are just wrong. It’s too easy (and altogether too common) to cover a distaste for admitting that there are wrong choices or wrong actions by claiming that it’s the cosmopolitan thing to do to see all the shades of gray. In our modern society, we don’t like to admit that some things are just wrong.
Particularly the things that we’re doing. Or even the things that are in vogue. (Or, I might suggest, the things that are popular or hip among certain segments of the population.)
